Sometimes I do the stupidest sh*t!!! I intended on having a nice enjoyable day today, still riding on the high of gratitude in the wake of yesterday's weather tragedy. As I backed out of my driveway this morning, I did it, my stupid thing. I hit my neighbor's car!!! Actually, my neighbor's son's car who fled Prattville yesterday because of the tornado...a little black mustang (*cough*POS FORD*cough*). Thankfully, his car was not damaged, just a little scratch which he buffed out with his finger. But my car was not so lucky. A HUGE dent in my bumper panel (but no lights broken, whew!!). What really bugs me about the whole thing, aside from the fact that he parked at the end of my driveway, was that his mom (the car is registered in her name BTW) acted all mad because I woke her up at 6:45 in the morning. WTH?? No friendly, neighborly "oh honey, it's okay" or "don't worry, it could have happened to any one"...you know, generally pleasantries that you may or may not actually mean...it kind of pissed me off that she was more concerned about going back to bed instead of looking at the damage, or checking to see if my kids were okay. I don't know, maybe I'm over reacting, maybe I'm projecting my anger at my own stupidity on to her, who knows. All I know is the rest of my day was stuck in yuck!!!
ETA: $758.93...for a bumper!!! C`mon!! I know, I know, quitcher bitchin!! Could be worse!
